Alanna Abrahamson is Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Marelli. She joined the company in February 2023.
Prior to Marelli, Alanna was CFO of ABB’s Process Automation Business area since 2018, where she gained extensive leadership experience across Asia, EMEA and Latin America, focusing on driving financial performance and efficiency.
She joined ABB, the Swiss-Swedish technology group, in 1999 and held positions of increasing responsibility in internal audit, controlling, risk management, integration of acquisitions and Head of Investor Relations for six years. Since 2012 Alanna has been based in Zurich and before that lived across North America.
Alanna, a Canadian national, holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona/U.S. and a BBA from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia/Canada.
Volker Krebs has been appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Marelli in September 2021. Prior to this, he was Chief Transformation Officer at Marelli for three years, driving critical transformation initiatives in response to industry changes for long-term growth. He has spent his thirty-year career in a variety of leadership roles at global companies across Europe, North America and Asia (Japan). Among these, in over twenty years at Johnson Controls, from 1997 he covered a number of top executive positions with growing responsibilities, leading teams across different regions and businesses, to finally become Group Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of IT at the company’s multi-billion Automotive Division from 2012. In his time at Johnson Controls, he successfully transformed processes and culture, significantly enhancing efficiency and competitiveness. Volker Krebs holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Frankfurt.
Sherry Vasa leads the People and Rewards function at Marelli, after joining the company in February 2021 as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resource Officer. Sherry Vasa is a global executive who has spent a career living and working in the US, Asia/Pacific, and Europe for Fortune 500 organizations. She spent over 20 years in a variety of leadership roles at the world’s largest automotive safety supplier, Autoliv, where most recently she held the position of Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Sustainability & Corporate Communications. Sherry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry, General.
Juan Molla is Chief Commercial Officer of Marelli. He has over 32 years’ international experience in the automotive industry and joined former Magneti Marelli in 2008. Juan has spent the last 15 years at Marelli in a variety of roles, starting as a General Manager within the company’s Argentinian Operations, then moving on to Global Sales Director, GTS, based in Italy. From 2018 he has been based in Germany, leading Business Development, Sales and Marketing for Automotive Lighting for three years. In 2021 he was assigned the responsibility for the Commercial function for key international markets, and then globally. In his role, he also has responsibility over the Motorsport business. During his long-standing career, Juan held senior positions in the automotive industry including Plastic Omnium, Dynamit Nobel and Renault. His education includes a Master in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, International Management Programs and Finance Programs.
Joachim Fetzer was appointed Chief Technology and Innovation Officer of Marelli in April 2021. He previously led the company’s Electric Powertrain Business Unit for over 2 years. In 2018 Joachim Fetzer served as CEO and member of the Board of Directors for Brusa AG, Switzerland, and at the same time was on the Board of Directors for Inovance Automotive, China. Before this, he headed the electric and hybrid vehicle division of Robert Bosch as Executive Vice President. From 2008 to 2012 he was Executive Vice President of SB LiMotive Co., a joint venture between Bosch and Samsung. From 2004, Joachim Fetzer was Vice President for Robert Bosch Gasoline Systems, with responsibility for HW platforms of electronic control units for combustion engines and for technology of batteries. From 2001 to 2004, he was CEO of Vector Consulting GmbH and Director of consulting services for Vector Informatik GmbH. Prior to this, in 1998 he joined Robert Bosch as head of software development for battery management control units. Joachim Fetzer has a Master degree and a PhD in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Stuttgart.
Hiroyuki Ishikawa leads Marelli’s Operational Excellence, including responsibility over Manufacturing and Quality.
He is a true automotive veteran, with over 35 years of experience and a true dedication to the company, that he has served for most part of his career. Hiroyuki Ishikawa has covered several leadership positions in Japan, USA and Mexico. Among these, he was most recently Executive Vice President, Global Production Leader at the former Calsonic Kansei and he previously held other top executive roles within the company, also in Mexico and North America. He started his career in the former Nihon Radiator in 1986. Hiroyuki Ishikawa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Andy Koehler heads the Purchasing function of Marelli since the creation of the company. He was previously Chief Purchasing Officer (CPO) at Calsonic Kansei since September 2018. With 25 years of experience, he held various executive roles at global companies in the automotive industry and beyond. From 2016 to 2018 he was Founder and CEO of the start-up company ART Carbon International. Prior to this, he was Chief Operating Officer at Puma and earlier Head of Global Sourcing at Adidas in Hong Kong. Andy Koehler started his career in the Automotive Operations and SCM function including Purchasing at leading global companies, including the role of Vice President Purchasing at Johnson Controls International and previously TRW/ZF and Eaton. He holds a Master in Business Administration and Engineering.
Karen Snow is the Head of U.S. Listings & Revenue at Nasdaq where she has led an integrated revenue business including New Listings (IPOs, DLs, Spins, Switches & Biz Combos); Investor Relations & ESG Sales; and the Retention of 3,800+ U.S. Listings. From 2003-2018, Ms. Snow was at Credit Suisse where she held roles of increasing responsibility, exiting as a Managing Director and Head of NY Equity Sales. Ms. Snow began her career in finance at BT Alex Brown. She is highly esteemed and recognized throughout the Wall Street community as a capital markets expert and strategic relationship builder with the ability to lead, manage and scale businesses. Ms. Snow received her MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and her B.S. in Economics and Marketing from Babson College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. In addition to Marelli, Ms. Snow serves on the Board of Nasdaq Private Markets, a consortium business with backing from Nasdaq, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citi, Silicon Valley Bank and Allen & Company as well as the Advisory Board of Nasdaq Center Board Excellence.
Dr. Punita Kumar Sinha is the Founding Partner of Pacific Paradigm Advisors, an independent investment advisory and management firm focused on Asia. Prior to founding Pacific Paradigm Advisors, she was a Senior Managing Director of Blackstone and the Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone Asia Advisors. In her previous role, Dr. Kumar-Sinha was Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc., and CIBC World Markets, where she helped open one of the first India advisory offices for a foreign firm. She also worked at Batterymarch (a Legg Mason company), Standish Ayer & Wood (a BNY Mellon company), JP Morgan and IFC/World Bank. Dr. Kumar-Sinha has a PhD and a Masters’ Degree in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and received her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering with distinction from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She is also a CFA Charter holder. Dr. Kumar-Sinha is a member of the Board of Governors at CFA Institute; and is also a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the Council on Foreign Relations. Dr. Kumar-Sinha is on the Board of Directors of One MobiKwik Systems.
Dr. Shellene (Shelle) Santana is a published Marketing professor at Bentley University with primary research interests in behavioral pricing and the psychology of money. She was previously a faculty member at the Harvard Business School. Prior to her career in academia, Dr. Santana spent 14 years at American Express, where she held a variety of positions in the Global Commercial Services division. Prior to her time at American Express, she spent three years at Verizon Communications as part of their Leadership Development Program before leaving to pursue her MBA. Dr. Santana earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from the Stern School of Business at New York University. She also holds an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, as well as a B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. She is on the Board of Directors at BOA Technologies.
Ms. Quek is a former partner and Vice Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Singapore with significant professional experience in statutory audits, corporate governance, initial public offerings, corporate restructuring, privatisation of public companies and fraud investigations. In PwC, she held global and regional roles including Deputy Markets Leader of PwC Asia Pacific and Americas, and was a member of the PwC Global Markets Leadership Team and PwC Asia Pacific Executive Team. She also led the Real Estate, Government, and Asset Management practices in PwC Singapore. Ms. Quek is a director of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, CapitaLand Commercial Trust Management Limited and Mapletree Oakwood Holdings Pte Ltd. She is also a board member of various statutory boards including Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, Health Promotion Board and National Heritage Board. Ms. Quek holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from the University of Singapore and is a chartered accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Kakizawa was formerly the Chief Financial Officer of Calsonic Kansei from 2012 to 2018. He joined Calsonic Kansei in 2009, and from 2009 to 2011, he worked as CEO of Calsonic Kansei North America. Prior to joining Calsonic Kansei, Mr. Kakizawa worked at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd, and served in various roles within Nissan including head of the Japan Business Administration office, Corporate Planning, Global Marketing & Sales and Global HR. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Chiba University.
Mr. Iijima joined KKR in 2014 and is a member of the Private Equity team. Prior to joining KKR, he worked at Carlyle Group as a vice president and subsequently worked at Carlyle Group’s portfolio company, Tsubaki Nakashima, where he was involved in supporting the management team. From 2001 to 2007, Mr. Iijima was a director at UBS Investment Banking, based in London and Tokyo. He focused on consumer products and the retail sector and was involved in a number of mergers and acquisitions. From 1999 to 2001, he worked at Mitsubishi Corporation. He holds a B.A. in Law from Keio University.
Mr. Hirano joined KKR in 2013 and is a Partner, Co-Head of Private Equity for KKR Asia Pacific, and CEO of KKR Japan. He serves on the KKR Asia Private Equity Investment Committee and the KKR Asia Portfolio Management Committee. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Hirano worked at AlixPartners as the Japan representative and head of financial services in Asia. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Hirano led the principal investment arm of Nikko Cordial Group (now known as SMBC Nikko Securities) and became chairman of Nikko Principal Investments. Mr. Hirano graduated from Keio University and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
David Slump is the President and CEO of Marelli.
Prior to joining Marelli in January 2022, Mr. Slump was President, Global Markets, Strategy & Services at HARMAN, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., and previously served in various roles within HARMAN, including head of Operations (Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain), executive vice president of corporate development, and president of the Consumer division. Prior to HARMAN, Mr. Slump served in a variety of senior leadership positions in business development and turnaround, portfolio management, and P&L responsibilities with companies including Toshiba Corporation’s subsidiary Landis+Gyr, General Electric, ABB Ltd. and Exelon Corporation’s subsidiary Commonwealth Edison.
Mr. Slump currently serves as an Innovator in Residence for Iowa State University and is a Co-Founder of ISU’s Student Innovation Fellows Program in which he works to improve the hands-on experiences available to students. Mr. Slump holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Iowa State University.
Mr. Paliwal is a partner within the Americas Private Equity business of KKR, a private equity investment firm. Mr. Paliwal was the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Harman International (2017-2020) and Chairman, CEO and board member of Harman International (2007-2017), a company that designs and engineers connected products for automakers, consumers and commercial companies. Prior to joining Harman, Mr. Paliwal worked at ABB (1985-2007) and served as President of ABB Group and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ABB North America. Mr. Paliwal is the Lead Director of Raytheon Technologies, Director of Nestle and Marelli Corp. He also serves on the board of trustees of Miami University, Ohio. Mr. Paliwal holds an MBA in finance and marketing and a master’s degree in applied science and engineering, both from Miami University of Ohio, and a master’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. Paliwal has lived and worked in Australia, China, India, Singapore, Switzerland and United States. In the past, he also served on the board of directors of ABB, Embarq, TYCO, ADT Securities, Bristol Myers Squibb and Harman International.
Mr. Moriya was formerly the President and Chief Executive Officer of Calsonic Kansei. Prior thereto, Mr. Moriya was an Executive Officer at Nissan Motor. Mr. Moriya also currently serves as outside director of Yorozu Corp.
