“I started my career at Marelli in the Global Business Services Purchasing department in 2020, supporting plants in the USA and Mexico. After three years, I joined the San Francisco and Toluca plants as a raw material and new projects buyer for the Green Technologies business. I’m passionate about teamwork, connecting teams, building strong relationships with suppliers and finding value-added solutions. I also long for any chance to be ‘innovative’ in my work, actively seeking opportunities for supplier development and cost optimization. It’s rewarding when this effort turns into projects that benefit the company. An example? I managed to introduce new materials and suppliers that improved product performance and reduced costs: I had to overcome timeline and material specification obstacles, but finally succeeded in finding win-win solutions, coordinating with cross-functional teams. If you ask me, this is the key: collaborating with trusted colleagues, giving your best despite difficulties and being grateful leads not only to results but also makes it inspiring to come to work every day. And what I’m most grateful for in my job is the chance to interact with so many cultures and perspectives, both within Marelli and with our suppliers.”
