This Rear axle carrier for the Electric Vehicles (EVs) market has been developed by Marelli and manufactured using hydroformed tubes, four bushings for vehicle connection and four for electric engine connection.
Hydroformed tubes provide uniform stiffness, reduce tool costs, and produce less waste. The process results in a lighter product as the required stiffness can be achieved using thinner walls.
Marelli’s complex attachment system joins cinematic points via a punching process to guarantee maximum accuracy and optimum vehicle handling.
To prevent electric engine failures, ground resistance is ensured by mass rivet connections.
